Ciorstaidh’s music is largely influenced by her Gaelic roots as well as extensive classical training.

Ciorstaidh is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where she studied with distinguished Serbian accordionist, Djordje Gajic. She is currently pursuing her masters degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Geir Draugsvoll and Bjarke Mogensen. Her studies are generously supported by The Dewar Award, The Anglo-Danish Society and the Cross Trust.

In 2024, Ciorstaidh won a Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections alongside duo partner Noah Scott and, she was a semi-finalist in the 2019 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year. She regularly performs throughout the UK at festivals such as Edinburgh Tradfest and St Magnus International Festival.

Ciorstaidh plays an extensive repertoire from original works for accordion, (Kusyakov, Semyonov, Makkonen, Lohse) to transcriptions (Bach, Scarlatti, Piazzolla). She plays a Bugari Armando compact button accordion made in Castlefidardo, Italy.
